Savor the taste that blends heritage's warmth with the essence of tropical fruit in "Mango Pudding." This classic dessert, known for its captivating velvety texture, is now offered with a refreshing modern twist that makes all the difference.
Key Ingredients
- 2 cups liquid milk
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- ⅓ cup sugar (or to taste)
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup natural mango pulp from Watani Food
- For Garnish (optional): Crushed pistachios, mango slices, shredded coconut.
Additional Tips
- Use pure mango pulp for a concentrated natural flavor (like Watani Food mango pulp).
- Sugar can be replaced with honey or a natural sweetener as desired.
- Serve the pudding chilled for a refreshing taste, especially in hot weather.
Preparation Method
1- Prepare the Pudding: In a pot over medium heat, whisk together the milk, cornstarch, and sugar until the cornstarch is completely dissolved. Continue stirring until the mixture begins to boil and thickens. Add the vanilla, then remove it from the heat.
2- Add Mango Pulp: After the pudding mixture cools slightly (for about 5 minutes), add the mango pulp and mix well until combined.
3- Pour and Chill: Pour the mango pudding into small serving glasses or bowls. Let it cool slightly at room temperature, then place it in the refrigerator for 2 to 4 hours until it sets well.
4- Garnish (Optional): Before serving, you can garnish the top of the pudding with:
- Fresh mango pieces
- Crushed nuts (pistachios, almonds)
- A sprinkle of shredded coconut
- A light mango sauce
